Sent this get well card to Billy Hewitt just after his surgery in '05 - just a year after our 50th reunion when Lillian & I wouldn't let him sit down...we danced w/him all nite..."Nook" is David Garrison. My "costume" was borrowed from one of my grandmother's friends, Mrs. Charlie Ida Mays, who wore it when she went to AHS kids day! I had blacked my two front teeth, carried books w/Dad's belt around them over my shoulder, & I read a poem called "The Moo Cow Moo"! When Cleve Clark saw my legs in those bloomers, he said I should be on the football team! All the other girls were fancy fancy fancy.....(I also won the best skit performance - hee-hee). ~ Annelle Stem (1952)
